I'm testing snapbill to see if it's going to work for our company. We need to send bills out quarterly, so I set up schedules. When I try to create a charge with a schedule, I get an error message. Is this feature functional? Thanks.

    Hi Mike,

The schedule feature is currently still in testing, so won't be operationally functional for at least a few more weeks. Apologies for this.

To create a quarterly recurring charge you can follow the steps below:

    • Go to the client's account in SnapBill
    • Click the create charge link in the left navigation menu
    • Enter a charge description and amount
    • Set your charges start date in the first charge field
    • Set the recurrence type to monthly
    • Set an end date for your charge if needed and select that date the charge will recur on.
    • Now enter 3 in the Every dropdown if you want the charge to issue and invoice very 3 months.
    • Click add charge to confirm.

Remember that a charge is not reusable and is unique to a clients account. If you want to add the same charge to more than one clients account I would suggest adding a service instead. A service is reusable on multiple client accounts can be set to recur every 3 months and gives you the option to bulk edit the service pricing or specifications when added to many client accounts.

Check out the article below for a description of the differences between services and charges:
