Client searches

The search box

SnapBill allows you to record and manage all your client's information. You can search the client records you have stored on SnapBill though the search box located at the top left of your SnapBill display.

How to search for a client

To search for a specific active, past due or suspended client type one of the following things into the search box:

  • A full or partial client name eg. only a first name, John, or only a surname, Smith, or both, John Smith
  • A full or partial company name eg. John Smith Enterprises
  • The main email address they have as contact on their account eg. johnsmith@gmail.com

How to search for an inactive client

To search for a specific cancelled or removed client follow your search query with the words is:dead eg. John Smith is:dead. This will give you a list of all client accounts for John Smith that have been cancelled or removed.

To search for all cancelled or removed client type only the words is:dead into the search box. This will give you a list of all client accounts that have been cancelled or removed.

How to search for an invoice number

To search using an invoice number enter the FULL invoice number in the search box eg. 001/1234. Entering only the last part of the invoice number eg. 1234 will not work.

How to search for a client number

To search using a client number only enter the client number in the search box prefixed by number: eg. number:001.

How to filter search results

Search results and client records can be sorted by account status, services, invoices due, balances and creation date. To sort results just click on the column heading you want to sort them by.

Search terminology

  • is:dead - finds removed client accounts
  • number: - prefix for searching via client number
  • data-custom_field_name - finds a custom field
  • data-batch_day:1 - finds all clients with a specific batch day
  • batch: - finds all clients on a specific batch
  • service:“service name” - finds all clients with a specific service
  • service:“service name” has:credit_card - finds a specific payment method payment method with a service
  • !service:“service name” - “!” means “not”, so this search finds all clients without a specific service
