Editing drafts, quotes and invoices
How to resend a quote or invoice
To manually send or resend a quote or invoice to a client follow the steps below:
- Go to the clients account
- Click on the invoice or quote number of the invoice or quote you wish to resend
- Once the invoice has opened click the Send to client button next to the invoice description at the top of the invoice or quote
- The invoice will now be emailed to the clients billing email address
How to edit a draft, quote or invoice
To edit a draft, quote or invoice follow the steps below:
- Go to the clients account
- Click on the draft, quote or invoice number you want to edit in the "Drafts", "Quotes" or "Invoices" table
- Once the draft, quote or invoice has opened click the Edit or Modify button in the navigation menu
- The Invoice Editor will now open
- - To edit a line item you can modify the description text, price or quantity
- - To remove the line item click the red cross next to the line you want to remove
- - To add a new line item click the "Add new line item" link at the bottom of the invoice
- When you are done editing remember to save to apply your changes
Note: Editing an invoice will result in the old invoice being cancelled and a new one being issued.
NB: You can only edit an unpaid invoice. If the invoice is marked as paid click the invoice number in the "Invoices" table and click the "Mark as unpaid again" option in the left navigation menu.
How to cancel a draft, quote or invoice
To cancel a draft, quote or invoice follow the steps below:
- Go to the clients account
- Click on the draft, quote or invoice number you want to cancel
- Once the draft, quote or invoice has opened click the Deny, Cancel or Remove button in the navigation menu
- This will cancel the draft, quote or invoice
Note: Cancelled quotes and invoices will remain stored on the account indefinitely. this helps establish a sting audit trail and helps you keep track of actions you performed on the account.
